05 OUTCOMES Innovative and inclusive capacity strengthened Participants reported increased skills, confidence and motivation, particularly through peer exchange and storytelling. Learning from community-led research models, innovative digital tools, and alternative advocacy strategies expanded participants’ sense of what is possible, even with limited resources. Creative expression – including poetry, dance, and music – was repeatedly cited as a powerful means of reinforcing solidarity, dignity, agency, and emotional connection as integral to changemaking and fostering safe and collaborative spaces. Approaches to advocacy for improved identification and protection showcased Discussions addressed gaps in identification and protection, especially in countries without Statelessness Determination Procedures, and for specific groups, including children. Key takeaways included the need for more focus on data and accurate recording of statelessness, for accessible, flexible, and trauma-informed procedures, better trained authorities, and coordinated implementation of EU-level commitments. Sessions on a wide variety of topics such as legal empowerment, local-level engagement, tools development, and digital innovation demonstrated promising pathways, while also acknowledging persistent implementation failures and the need for sustained, coordinated advocacy.
