Approximately twothirds of the States reviewed received recommendations touching on other issues relevant to statelessness. While only 38% of all relevant recommendations have made specific reference to statelessness, if one excludes the recommendations on birth registration the 88 Only recommendations under the Convention have been counted, not those under the two Optional Protocols. Broadly relevant recommendations are those which deal with birth registration and access to documentation without linking these issues to the right to a nationality or statelessness. 41
