Webinar: The Journey of the Makonde to Citizenship

This webinar is about the Makonde, which arrived in Kenya in the 1940s as laborers but, after independence the Makonde were rendered stateless as they were not recognized as Kenyan citizens. They began their agitation for recognition in 1984, and in February 2017 they were issued with certificates of Kenyan Citizenship becoming the #43rdTribe in Kenya.
