photo story Giles Duley Photographer Giles started his career as a photographer in the fashion industry before switching to documentary work. His work focusing on the effects of conflict on civilians. In 2011 whilst working in Afghanistan he stepped on an improvised explosive device (IED) sustaining lifechanging injuries. However he returned to work continuing to document humanitarian stories. In 2015 he was commissioned by UNHCR to document the refugee crisis in Europe and the Middle East. The project focused on telling the individual stories of those caught up in the crisis.
