Description: Focus Development Association, the Global Campaign for Equal Nationality Rights (GCENR) and the Institute on Statelessness and Inclusion (ISI) made this joint submission to the Universal Periodic Review (UPR), on the right to a nationality and human rights challenges pertaining to statelessness in Madagascar.

This submission focuses on: I. Gender discrimination in Madagascar's nationality law; II. Stateless minorities in Madagascar, including communities of Indo-Pakistani and Comorian descent; and III. Consequences of gender discrimination in the nationality law and statelessness in Madagascar.
