Description: Asylkoordination Österreich, Diakonie Flüchtlingsdienst, the European Network on Statelessness (ENS) and the Institute on Statelessness and Inclusion (ISI) made this joint submission to the Universal Periodic Review (UPR), on the right to a nationality and human rights challenges pertaining to statelessness in Austria.

This submission focuses on: I. Children’s right to a nationality; II. Statelessness determination and status; III. Facilitated naturalisation; IV. Economic and social rights of stateless persons; V. Risks of arbitrary detention of stateless persons; and VI. The impact of COVID-19 on Stateless Persons in Austria.
