(e) to preserve and strengthen the independence and the integrity of his country; (f) to contribute to the best of his abilities, at all times and at all levels, to the promotion and achievement of African Unity. PART II CHAPTER TWO ESTABLISHMENT AND ORGANIZATION OF THE COMMITTEE ON THE RIGHTS AND WELFARE OF THE CHILD Article 32 THE COMMITTEE An African Committee of Experts on the Rights and Welfare of the Child hereinafter called “the Committee” shall be established within the Organization of African Unity to promote and protect the rights and welfare of the child. Article 33 COMPOSITION 1. The Committee shall consist of 11 members of high moral standing, integrity, impartiality and competence in matters of the rights and welfare of the child. 2. The members of the Committee shall serve in their personal capacity. 2. The Committee shall not include more than one national of the same State. Article 34 ELECTION As soon as this Charter shall enter into force the members of the 24 AFRICAN CHARTER on the Rights and Welfare of the Child
