CHAPTER 6 TAJIKISTAN. Adolat was born in 1988, in Kulyab city of Tajikistan. It wasn’t until Adolat sought employment at a local school as a cleaner that she realized she was undocumented and at risk of being stateless. Lacking any identity documents, her hope of securing a steady job seemed unreachable.
