Description: The Macedonian Young Lawyers Association (MYLA), the European Roma Rights Centre (ERRC), the European Network on Statelessness (ENS), the Minority Rights Group International (MRG) and the Institute on Statelessness and Inclusion (ISI) made this joint submission to the Universal Periodic Review (UPR), on the right to a nationality and human rights challenges pertaining to statelessness in Macedonia.

This submission focuses on: I. Statelessness in the context of the dissolution of the former Yugoslavia; II. Barriers to birth registration and unregulated civil status; and III. Statelessness determination and naturalisation.
