This webinar recording marks the launch of the Rohingya Human Rights Initiative’s report The Ashes of Rakhine: Ongoing Atrocities. The report documents violence against Rohingya communities in Rakhine State between November 2023 and August 2024, including village burnings, mass killings, sexual violence, abductions, forced labour, and denial of aid. Survivor testimonies, including the Houyaseri massacre where 346 people were killed, underscore the urgent need for international attention, humanitarian access, accountability, and recognition of the Rohingya.
