Description: Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights and the Institute on Statelessness and Inclusion made this joint submission to the Universal Periodic Review (UPR), on the right to a nationality and human rights challenges pertaining to statelessness in Zimbabwe.

This submission focuses on: I. Birth Registration, civil documentation, and (risks of) statelessness; II. Children’s right to a nationality; III. Arbitrary deprivation of nationality; IV. Descendants of migrants and risks of statelessness and V. Lack of adequate protection of stateless persons and statelessness determination procedures.
