In particular, some police inspectors visited come applicants’ neighbors and interviewed them about the behavior of the applicants in front of the applicant’s families, including their children. Another practical problem consists of frequent non-compliance with the deadlines of processing of the applications for admission to citizenship of Ukraine specified by the law11. This, at a minimum, may perpetuate a person’s statelessness and deprives him/her of any opportunity of enjoying full spectrum of his/her rights and freedoms in the specified period.
