Chapter 5 MALAYSIA. Alyssa and her mother are refugees from Myanmar who fled to Malaysia in 2018 with the rest of their family. They now live in shared accommodation in Selangor. The family has found hope for the children’s education in Malaysia, encouraging both Alyssa and her brother to stay in school and work towards a brighter future.
