Lumka Nzama v Minister of Home Affairs (7 March 2018) Mr Nzama was declared a citizen by birth in terms of section 15 of the Citizenship Act. DHA was ordered to lift the blockage on his ID. LHR spent the remainder of 2018 and 2019 pushing for the implementation of this order. His ID remains blocked today. Chisuse v Minister of Home Affairs ( 23 July 2020) Declared client a citizen by birth in terms of section 2(1) (b) of the Citizenship Act. DHA was ordered to register and issude applicants with IDs by the Constitutional Court. Numerous follow ups had to be made with DHA by legal representatives for the three applicants. The third applicant received her ID in February 2021. The first applicant was told re-apply again this year following intervention by LHR. He has yeat to hear from DHA.
