Top events and news • The Philippines acceded to the 1961 Convention on the Reduction of Statelessness. • UNHCR and partners marked International Women’s Day on March 8, calling for more attention to gender discrimination in nationality matters. • In Uzbekistan, 33,000 stateless persons or persons of undetermined nationality were granted nationality or had their nationality confirmed in 2021.
