NO ONE SHALL BE ARBITRARILY DEPRIVED OF HIS NATIONALITY" ARTICLE 15, UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS The Institute on Statelessness and Inclusion (ISI) is an independent non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting inclusive societies by realising and protecting the right to a nationality for all. Established in August 2014, ISI is the first and only human rights NGO dedicated to working on statelessness at the global level. ISI is incorporated in the Netherlands, where it has Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) status. One of ISI’s thematic priorities is countering arbitrary deprivation of nationality. This programme, under which this report was developed, is supported by the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust, Open Society Foundations and the Sigrid Rausing Trust. The Global Citizenship Observatory (GLOBALCIT) is an online observatory and research network committed to factbased and non-partisan analysis of citizenship laws and electoral rights around the world. GLOBALCIT is based in Florence at the Global Governance Programme of the Robert Schuman Centre, European University Institute. It relies on a large international network of country experts, regional coordinators and collaborators who provide input for userfriendly databases, reports and contribute to scholarly exchange.
