UNHCR hopes that the findings and recommendations contained in this report will contribute to the ongoing dialogue between UNHCR, the Polish Government, civil society and other relevant actors on the steps required to bring the legal framework, institutional capacity and practice in Poland fully in line with the international and European standards in the area of identification, prevention and reduction of statelessness, and the protection of stateless persons. 8 MAPPING STATELESSNESS IN POLAND
