(©Said Khatib) through various destructive policies, including near-daily murder and mass arrests which have reached an all-time high, especially in the West Bank.136 Such colonial expansion was reinforced by a correlating acceleration in Israeli forcible transfer policies against the Palestinian people. Between 2019-2022, Israel demolished 2,789 Palestinian-owned structures in the West Bank, including east Jerusalem, and displaced more than 3,600 persons.137 Of those, 23 percent were in east Jerusalem and 75 percent were in the West Bank’s Area C.
