This BADIL working paper examines the right to armed struggle as rooted in the principle of self-determination. It traces international law’s recognition of resistance against colonialism, apartheid, and foreign domination, affirming Palestinians’ right to resist Israel’s colonial-apartheid regime. It concludes that denial of self-determination sustains Palestinians’ right to resist.
