Description: This annual report looks at the current landscape of gender discriminatory nationality laws that result in statelessness for children. This year’s edition introduces several changes, including a new section that provides increased clarity on the scope of the Background Note and new data relating to conferral of nationality by parents who acquired nationality later in life; and conferral on adopted children. The framing on the #IBelong campaign has been removed and replaced with a heading looking at relevant developments from March 2024 to February 2025. An Annex linking through to the relevant nationality legislation has been added to the end of the report.
